Chief Executive of Cambridge Assessment and Chairman of OCR
Simon Lebus has been Group Chief Executive of Cambridge Assessment since 1 July 2002. He became Chairman of OCR in 2004.
Before Cambridge Assessment, Simon spent fourteen years in industry in a variety of senior management roles. He went into industry from the City where he had spent the previous eight years involved in corporate finance advisory and capital markets work.
Simon was a scholar at St John’s College, Oxford, where he took a first class honours degree in Modern History before going on to St Antony’s College, also in Oxford, where he studied for three years as a postgraduate research student.
Within Cambridge, Simon is a Bye-Fellow of Emmanuel College and has also served on the Board of the University Education Faculty, as a member of the Management Committee of the Cambridge University Centre for Applied Research in Education Technologies and as Executive Chair of the Cambridge Trusts.
