The key theme of this year’s 13th Annual British Education Studies Association (BESA) conference is Education as a collaborative process: the entanglement of ethics, research, policy and practice.

BESA is an organisation that supports the academic community of students, teachers and researchers in the diverse field of Education Studies. At this conference we will hear from our colleague Dr Jackie Greatorex AFBPsS, Principal Research Officer, Cambridge Assessment. Jackie will deliver a presentation on Two taxonomies are better than one: towards a method of analysing a variety of domains and types of thinking. She will talk about the practice of analysing the domains and types of thinking involved in undertaking educational activities.

Visit the BESA website for more information about the association and to register your place for the conference.

Earlier this year, Jackie looked at how psychology can be used to make assessment better. To read more about her research on this topic visit the Insights section of our website and read Learning about exams from recent psychological research.

Following on the BESA conference, Jackie blogged about her favourite presentations from this year's conference including introducing sex education in Saudi Arabian schools and the effects of collaborative manual labour as a learning tool.
