The Asian Summit on Education and Skills (ASES) is Asia's only annual leadership event dedicated to the education and skills sector. Now in its fourth edition and partner event to Education World Forum (EWF) in London, will be held in Mumbai, India on 17 to 19 September 2017. ASES is a member-led association which recognises the needs and desires of governments (national and state) in the region to develop education at all levels. It also values the ability of major industry players to play key roles in making change happen and the value of a regional summit to build consensus and promote confidence among decision-makers in their routes to successful policies.
The theme of this year's conference is Preparing students for success: thinking, doing, well-being and learning. Delegates will debate and explore issues in a series of keynote debates, ministerial exchanges and plenary sessions that bring experts, educators and policy makers representing the majority of the world’s population together. They will hear from Cambridge English Language Assessment's Director Digital and New Product Development, Geoff Stead, on Curriculum for the next 10 years: competencies, knowledge and success and preparing for learning, entrepreneurship and work. He will reflect on the challenges of developing curricula to match context now and in the decade ahead, including the challenges of introducing innovation and education system change. His session will be on Monday 18 September 2017 from 11:30 to 13:00 (UTC).
With over 800 years of heritage, The University Cambridge is renowned for excellence in education and this year its departments Cambridge International Examinations, Cambridge English Language Assessment and Cambridge University Press will continue working in partnership to support the University's mission to contribute to society through the pursuit of education, learning and research at the highest international levels of excellence.
