This roundtable event will bring together key members of the international mathematics education community, to provide an update on the work of Cambridge Mathematics and offer discussion topics which are intended to inspire debate, stimulated by short, focused keynotes.
The event marks three years since Cambridge Mathematics and its manifesto were launched in 2015 by Director Lynne McClure, where she set out the commitment to championing and securing a world class mathematics education for all students from 3 – 19 years old, applicable to both national and international contexts and research based evidence and practice. Cambridge Mathematics is a collaborative enterprise comprising of four education and mathematics partner organisations : Cambridge Assessment, Cambridge University Press and the University of Cambridge faculties of Mathematics and Education.
During the Symposium we will hear differing views on key issues facing maths curriculum development and be joined live via video conference by maths experts from international locations including Mauritius and Austria.
