Lithuania will be welcoming delegates from over 40 countries for the fourth annual European Conference on Social Media (ECSM). The two-day conference will be attended by academics, civil servants, practitioners and individuals who are engaged in various aspects of the social media industry. The key topics will include business, education, the networked citizen and security of social media.
One of the speakers at the conference will be Nicole Klir, a Data Scientist from Cambridge Assessment. She will be delivering a presentation on Social Media Discussion of British School Exams, discussing how education professionals might use social media data sources to gain new insights into the experience of examination candidates and how such open discussions might shape wider public perceptions of educational assessment.
More information about the conference and how to register can be found on the Academic Conferences and Publishing International website.
We have recently published Nicole and colleague Tom Sutch’s work on Tweeting about exams in our latest Research Matters, our free biannual publication.
Our Group Chief Executive, Simon Lebus, recently blogged about Nicole and Tom's research and the omnipresence of social media in all aspects of our lives, especially for students during the summer exams season. Visit our blog section to read Emojis and exams.
