Tim Oates, Group Director of Assessment Research and Development at Cambridge Assessment, will deliver the keynote address based on developing assessment policy from 13:10 to 14:10.
His keynote will look at removal of the requirement to use National Curriculum ‘levels’ to assess the progress of school pupils, there has been a high degree of uncertainty about the approaches which might best replace existing systems. Discussion around the compelling evidence which led to the recommendation to remove labels will be tackled to gain a clearer understanding about the principles which should underpin assessment in both the Primary and Secondary segments of the system.
This conference will also include a workshop on Transition from KS2 to KS3 led by Primary School colleagues.
Registration starts from 12:30, for more information, please visit the website.
