This Westminster Education Forum came as Ofsted, the Office for Standards in Education, Children’s Services and Skills, prepares to consult on its new Common Inspection Framework this autumn ahead of it being introduced in 2019. Reports suggest that a greater emphasis will be placed on the curriculum in the new framework with the possible introduction of a new ‘quality of education’ measure for schools. The seminar will give delegates an opportunity to discuss Ofsted’s ongoing review of the curriculum.
Tim Oates, the architect of the overhaul of the National Curriculum in England discussed ‘why curriculum matters’ and ‘priorities for the secondary curriculum’ in his morning session.
Research underpins everything we do across the Cambridge Assessment Group and we frequently publish our findings.
