We firmly believe in ensuring everything we do is based on research. Our participation in projects around the world has confirmed our belief that an investigative approach to education is the only appropriate way to bring meaningful change to education systems.

The current pandemic, the increasingly digital nature of the world, and the gap between the outcomes of education and the needs of society and the professional world make this an absolutely vital time to discuss the future of education through an objective and politically transparent lens. This conference will bring together researchers and practitioners from around the world to share examples of projects where research has driven changes in an educational programme at a national, regional or local level.

The one-day online event is being organised by the Cambridge Assessment English team in Spain, with contributors across the world from Chongqing University, China to Buenos Aires City Ministry of Education, Argentina. As well as analysts from the OECD (Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development) and our own team of education and assessment research specialists. 2020-10-12 - Research into Practice Seminar Programme - Document

We hope that the examples will inspire others to apply similar approaches and thus increase the extent of evidence-based decision-making in education. The conference will mix presentations with round tables and debates, so that participants and presenters alike will benefit from different perspectives and ideas.
