Members of the public can take a 3D virtual reality tour of The Rising Tide: Women at Cambridge exhibition at the University of Cambridge’s 600-year-old library.
Cambridge Assessment has been delighted to sponsor The Rising Tide: Women at Cambridge, a collection of exhibitions, events, and displays exploring the past, present, and future of women at Cambridge. The Rising Tide marks 150 years since the founding of Cambridge’s first women’s college, Girton.
The exhibition that has been held at The Milstein Exhibition Centre at the Cambridge University Library until now, will continue to be held as a virtual tour so that you can continue to view the exhibition from your home.
The lived experiences of women at Cambridge, the continuing work towards equality, and the careers of some of the women who shaped the institution (and the world) are told through costumes, letters, and audio-visual material. Visitors have the chance to explore rarely seen collections from across the University and Colleges.
Throughout its course The Rising Tide has facilitated assembly, debate and conversation for today's Cambridge women to discuss their current experience.
