55 specialists from the Education Evaluation Center of Mongolia and four other major Mongolian educational institutions have been celebrating the milestone of achieving an Assessment Practitioner Award from Cambridge.
The practitioners involved in the project demonstrated their commitment to professional development in assessment by completing over 60 hours of training over a four-month period. These practitioners consisted of researchers, assessments specialists, Heads of Departments and Educational Directors, who were all interested in enhancing their assessment practice. The bespoke team at Cambridge Assessment Network delivered the training online with support from various stakeholders across the organisation – including colleagues from the research division and the Digital High Stakes Assessment Programme.
Cambridge Assessment Network provide professional development training to the global assessment community, including bespoke solutions. By working collaboratively with the team in Mongolia they were able to deliver a tailored learning experience specific to their needs.
Senior Manager of Assessment Training, Brooke Wyatt, was the lead for the Mongolian project and was impressed with the commitment shown by the practitioners.

As part of the bespoke offering, Cambridge Assessment Network collaborated with the Mongolian team to design and deliver two 60-hour learning pathways to facilitate the varied levels of experience and expertise of the participants. Areas covered in the training included the principles of assessment, item writing, data literacy, and digital assessment.
As part of both training routes practitioners joined the Cambridge Assessment Network Membership scheme to access the Assessment Practitioner Awards as well as a global assessment community. They will continue to take advantage of their Membership in 2023, with benefits including an online networking forum, exclusive learning resources and an Ask the Experts webinar series.
Oyunchimeg Enkhbayar, Senior Expert International Assessment Team at Education Evaluation Center of Mongolia supported the coordination of the project and was impressed with the flexibility and impact of the bespoke delivery.

Education Evaluation Center of Mongolia was established in 2002 with the objective to assess the quality of education and provide professional and methodological advice to Mongolian governmental bodies. The Assessment Practitioner Award certificate ceremony attracted widespread attention in Mongolia with the story being covered by some news outlets including LiveTV Mongolia.
