My background is in geophysics and space physics. I completed a BSc in Geophysics (Physics) from the University of Liverpool, and a PhD in geophysics at the University of Edinburgh. My doctoral research looked at numerical modelling methods to describe and predict the natural electromagnetic variability at Earth’s surface and in near-Earth space. Before joining Cambridge University Press & Assessment in 2022, I worked on space weather forecasting at the British Antarctic Survey.
I’m part of the Data Science Unit within the Assessment Research and Development division. I work to maintain and improve the item level data and marker monitoring services, in addition to helping develop novel data products to assist business practices across CUP&A.
Outside of work I spend my time cycling, climbing, and childcaring.
