Sanjay is Head of Research for Digital Assessment and Evaluation, a role which is integral to the organisation's strategic roadmap and development of various digital assessment products and services that serve the international market. He has worked in education for over 20 years and has a background in Early years, Primary and Lower Secondary education.
What is your role in the Digital Assessment team?
Lead on the development of the research roadmap that underpins the digital assessment and evaluation product roadmap, and providing consultancy and support in the areas of research involving the user, the market, the assessment and the technology. I also lead on other work strands including Accessibility in Digital Assessments and Assessment and Evaluation in Early Years.

After university, I decided to go into either teaching or the police force...I went the teaching route!
What is the most exciting thing in the future of assessment?
The potential to make educational assessment fair and accessible for all!
What most annoys you about the assessment industry?
The reluctance to think outside of the box and differently when it comes to the most suitable way to assess skills and competencies for the future, together with the disconnect between teaching, learning and assessment.
What are your interests?
I am an avid rugby player and have played for over 34 years!
