Founder and Director of Merrick-Ed Limited, Victoria’s education consultancy practice is underpinned by 19 years’ experience of leading and teaching in the East Midlands, UK. Her impact as ‘Trust Lead for Assessment, Exams and Progression’, ‘Trust Strategic Lead for Careers’ and ‘Trust Data Strategy Lead’, have directly improved outcomes for students across all phases; EYFS to Sixth Form.
Working with schools and trusts across the UK, Victoria is supporting leaders to devise, implement and sustain robust school improvement strategies, informed by sophisticated use of data and information to identify challenges, understand school contexts and select appropriate high-leverage action steps. By embedding secure curriculum and assessment principles and practice across all phases and implementing carefully selected evidence-informed research, Victoria’s approach drives up standards for all students regardless of their starting points. Victoria champions forensic use of information and data to gather insights and identify patterns, trends and areas for improvement. With her expertise in curriculum design theory and quality assurance models, her work enhances school and trust strategic improvement cycles.
Victoria’s speaks frequently at national and international conferences and hosts trust leadership workshops. In partnership with a number of well-known EdTech and assessment sector organisations, Victoria’s innovative approach to school improvement informs and shapes multiple digital education platforms. She is often invited to feature in thought-leadership discussions including ‘how best to achieve equity in education’ and ‘the growing and changing needs of multi-academy trusts’.
