Kirsty Parkinson

I am the CIPS Awarding Manager for Assessment at the Chartered Institute for Procurement and Supply and have been employed in the role since 2014. CIPS exams are global with learners based in the UK, Africa, the Middle East and Australia. I have a background as a quality and legal compliance manager, working in both manufacturing and professional services.

As a practitioner, I was closely involved with the procurement function and have experience of working on multi-million spend tender processes. I have responsibility for reviewing the legitimacy of exam content with CIPS panel of experts, both prior to and after live exams. As part of that process, I’ve reviewed the pattern of responses from many thousands of CIPS learners. I’ve been able to evaluate some of the behavioural patterns to known phenomena in published research, using this knowledge to inform our item development processes.

I studied with Cambridge in 2019 to achieve the Postgraduate Certificate in Educational Studies: Educational Assessment.
